The main purpose of the Registrar's office is to process voter applications and maintain voter's files for Wayne County and the municipality of Jesup, Georgia. 

The office also processes all absentee applications and ballots. Absentee ballots are only issued from the Registrar's office. A voter may request an Absentee ballot for themselves with no reason if application is received through the mail. Early voting is offered to all registered voters the week prior to any election in person at the Registrar's Office. As of September 2007, a Photo ID is required to vote.
