Republic Pre-Storm Update

A Message from Republic Services:

Republic is working a modified schedule today ahead of the storm. They will begin earlier and plan to have the trucks off the street by lunchtime.  They expect to resume Thursday and will work Saturday if not yet caught up.

They are sure everyone is aware of the impending State of Emergency regarding Hurricane Michael.  They wanted to reach out and let everyone know Republic is planning accordingly to protect the safety of our employees, divisions and assets, so that once the hurricane is through our area they can react and respond accordingly.  Ultimately, there are some situations they cannot control such as flooding, downed trees and power lines and loss of power that prevent access to some areas and may delay servicing customers who are in affected areas.  They will do there best to communicate directly with customers and communities they serve to inform them of any delays or situations.

In preparation, they are asking that you help communicate with residents to limit injuries, property damage that can occur during events like Hurricane Michael.  Please inform residents to secure trash containers in a garage or shed, if possible, to prevent them from being blown around due to high winds preventing loss or damage to containers or property they may impact.

Republic Services stands with our communities to prepare and assist during events, like Hurricane Michael, that may impact daily life in our communities and react accordingly.
