Notice of Public Hearing to close and abandon Hoke Ogden Road & Wheaton Road

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the Wayne County Board of Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing to consider the proposed closure of the following county road segments:

• Hoke Ogden Road: Approximately 0.447 miles, beginning at Beards Bluff Road and ending at the proposed new alignment of Hoke Ogden Road.
• Wheaton Road: Approximately 0.225 miles, beginning at Marcus Road and ending at Beards Bluff Road.

The proposed road closures are contingent upon the construction of replacement road segments by John Wayne Oliver. No portion of the existing roads will be permanently closed until the replacement roads have been completed and inspected and approved by the Wayne County Engineer.

The purpose of the public hearing is to receive comments from interested citizens regarding the proposed road closures before any final action is taken by the Wayne County Board of Commissioners.
