Bid for Voter Parking Lot Seal Coat & Paving
NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS AND INVITATION FOR BIDS
The Wayne County Board of Commissioners is accepting sealed bids for the “2026 Voter Parking Lot Seal Coat & Paving Contract.”
Sealed bids will be received until 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at the office of the Wayne County Administrator, located at:

Bids received after the designated time will not be considered. At the appointed hour, bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The contract award will be considered at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Wayne County Board of Commissioners.
Scope of Work
The project generally consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, and incidentals necessary to complete the following work:
- Demolition and removal of approximately 245 square yards of existing asphalt parking lot;
- Installation of approximately 400 square yards of graded aggregate base and asphalt pavement;
- Application of seal coat to approximately 2,650 square yards of existing parking lot surface;
- Striping is not included in this contract.
All work shall be performed in accordance with the latest edition of the Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications.
Contractors submitting bids must be currently approved and certified by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT).

Bid Submittal Requirements
Each bid submission shall include the following:
- A completed and signed bid proposal;
- A certified check or bid bond equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount;
- A letter from the bidder’s bonding company verifying the bidder’s ability to provide Payment and Performance Bonds equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount within ten (10) days of award;
- Proof of current GDOT Contractor Certification;
- Contractor’s business license and contact information;
- Any additional documentation required by the contract documents.
